GREETING AND OPENING REMARKS

Family and friends of __________ GROOM and __________ BRIDE, We are gathered together in the face of this company to join together this man and woman in matrimony, which is an honorable estate among all people, and therefore, is not to be entered into lightly, but reverently, discreetly and advisedly.

Into this marriage these two persons present come now to be joined. If anyone can show just cause why they may not be lawfully married, let them now speak, or else hereafter forever hold their peace.

DECLARATION

Please join hands and face each other, and repeat after me.
